Welcome to the Color Picker App — a powerful and intuitive color selection tool designed specifically for web designers, front-end developers, and digital creators. This free tool makes it easy to explore and copy color values in HEX, RGB, and CMYK formats, helping you streamline your workflow and maintain consistent color palettes across your websites, apps, and branding materials.

Whether you're building a modern web UI, designing for print, or experimenting with color combinations, our app allows you to select from carefully curated color collections that are compatible across all major browsers and platforms. Each color swatch is fully clickable, and with a single click, the corresponding color code is copied to your clipboard — saving you time and effort during your design process.

Available Color Palettes

  • Named Colors: 125 standard CSS color names defined by modern web browsers.
  • Web Safe Colors: A 216-color palette that ensures consistent rendering on all devices and screen types.
  • Pastel Colors: Soft, muted colors ideal for backgrounds, UI accents, and user-friendly interfaces.

You can switch between these palettes using the tabs at the top of the screen. Each palette is displayed as a responsive color grid, optimized for desktop and mobile devices. On the right side of the screen, you’ll also find a live preview of the selected color, along with its corresponding HEX, RGB, and CMYK values. Additional tools like "shades" and "similar colors" help you discover visually harmonious alternatives for better UI/UX design.

What is RGB?

RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue. It's the most commonly used color model for digital screens and electronic displays. By combining varying intensities of these three primary light colors, millions of color variations can be represented. RGB is ideal for designing anything meant to be viewed on a screen, such as websites, apps, games, and social media graphics.

What is CMYK?

CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black). This color model is used in the printing industry for producing full-color images in physical formats like posters, flyers, brochures, and packaging. Unlike RGB, which emits light, CMYK works by subtracting light from white paper using ink pigments. If you're designing for print, it’s essential to preview and use CMYK color codes to ensure accurate color reproduction.
